sm all saints honoured!!!

I was surprised and at the same time proud when I came across this article in The Star today. It's not easy to have your school's name printed in a local state newspaper (Daily Express, Sabah Times, etc.), even harder to be mentioned in a national newspaper (more so when your school is from East Malaysia)! Thinking

Four Premier Schools Honoured in Stamps

KUALA LUMPUR: Four premier schools have been honoured with special sets of stamps and first-day covers by Pos Malaysia Berhad.

SMK Victoria and SMK Convent Bukit Nanas in Kuala Lumpur, SMK St Thomas in Kuching and SM All Saints in Kota Kinabalu were chosen for their successful achievements in the academic and curriculum fields.

Pos Malaysia Bhd stamp and philately unit head Yasmin Ramli said yesterday that the schools had produced many national leaders, corporate figures, professionals, sportsman and scholars “who have contributed significantly to the growth of Malaysia.”

Colourful covers: Pos Malaysia Berhad corporate communications department senior assistant manager Maisara Noor Ahmad showing the first-day covers during a preview in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. The first-day covers will be available on Tuesday at all post offices.

A limited batch of 50,000 first-day covers will be available for one day next Tuesday while the stamps and folders will still be on sale from the same day onwards at all post offices.

The first day covers with a set of four stamps will be sold at RM2.30 each while a folder costs RM5.50. A set of 20 stamps, with each stamp in 50 sen denomination, will be sold for RM10 while a folder with a complete set of stamps of the schools and a first day cover will cost RM47.80.
