As in previous seasons, the team from the Teeside proved to be the thorn in the Man Utd's side again after they held the Champions 2-2 at the Riverside Stadium, saved by Wayne Rooney's equalizer. They took the lead through Alves' 2 goals after Ronaldo scored first as early as in the 10th minute. Ferdinand meanwhile was subbed midway after being crocked. Now we are sweating for the result. Vidic out, Ferdinand out. These are hard times for Man Utd.

So the lead at the top is now cut to 3 points. What seemed to be a comfortable lead from Arsenal, should they had won, is now still within reach. With the visit of the Gunners and an away day at Chelsea, among the remaining 5 games, the title is still very much for anyone to grab.
